The end of an era

In the spirit of the season, we are celebrating and remembering here at the flute shop and Paige’s Music this week: our long-time head of repair, as well as flute repair guru, Tim Roethler is officially retiring this Friday the 13th. Tim has been with Paige’s Music since 1977 and truly built the world-class repair service we have here from the ground up. He was our very first Straubinger-certified technician, and he has helped me be able to serve my flute, piccolo, and low flute customers at a very high caliber. Please enjoy this throwback staff spotlight–our first ever–and join me in wishing Tim Roethler happy trails as he enters retirement!

Steve Ruppert’s retirement

Those of you who have been following me for any length of time know that I just love what I do here, and I love the stories and relationships that I get to build. Thankfully, my band director encouraged me based on my testing results to pursue the

Director Spotlight: Mr. Ned Boyd

There are a lot of really cool things I get to do in my job as the manager of the Indy Flute Shop, and one of them is to stay in touch with people in the music field whom I have known for a long, long time! Today I have the pleasure of sharing one of those people with you today: Mr. Ned Boyd, Director of Bands for Logansport schools. Mr. Boyd (as he will insist I DON’T call him anymore) was as assistant director when I was in high school at Lafayette Jefferson many years ago, and since then he has taken the position of overseeing all three band programs in Logansport. He is a wonderfully accomplished musician (he used to play saxophone in the band for The Temptations!!), an amazing educator, and an all-around great guy. Please enjoy learning more about one of my musical influences, Ned Boyd. Ned Boyd – Director Spotlight | Paige’s Music Director News
