Pearl’s Championship Series Marching Toms feature 6-ply 100% Maple shells that deliver deep tonality and extra projection. The 2.3mm Steel SuperHoop II rims are anchored in place by high strength 6mm case-hardened tension bolts. Lightweight Aluminum lug casings provide extreme strength and evenly disperse head pressure when aggressively tuned.
Championship Maple tenors are available in Shallow-Cut configurations, removing the depth from the shell’s skirt to provide a lightweight, agile option. Shallow-Cut tenors offer a tightly focused articulation yet has the warm, round Pearl tenor sound that has become the industry standard. Reduced weight due to shallower shell depths makes the tenors easier to carry, perfect for modern drumlines and bands.
