Katherine Peters graduated with a degree in music education from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She has worked in schools as a band director, and has also taught choir and general music. She now runs private studios in three locations in northern Indianapolis: Carmel, Fishers, and Castleton/Nora. Her students are regularly placed in top ensembles in their schools and in honor bands. She is also independently contracted by band programs to teach clarinet and saxophone classes. In addition to recognitions for her teaching, Katherine is a published composer/arranger. Katherine is a member of the Indiana Wind Symphony and also appears with the Fishers Chamber Orchestra, the Fishers Wind Symphony, the Carmel Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis, instrumental ensembles of East 91st St. Christian Church, and in the occasional pit orchestra. She also enjoys collaborating with fellow teachers to present chamber music concerts.
