Private Teacher: Gary Robinson

My name is Gary Robinson and I have been a musician and teacher for over 40 years. I teach from my home in Anderson and will give lessons to students at their school if it is near my location.

I am a retired secondary school music director. My mission is to prepare students of character to be life-long musicians. My goal is to help each student become a well-rounded musician by developing their abilities and learning to appreciate music. This is accomplished through the study of their instrument, refining their playing and practicing techniques, understanding music theory, and having high personal expectations. I treat the student with respect and strive to make music fun.

Currently, my private instruction focuses on Trombone and Euphonium, but I have taught voice and piano as well. I have bachelors and masters degrees in Music Education from Butler University, a Doctorate in Education from Ball State University, and currently teach at Anderson University.

Because of my responsibilities at the university, I am available to take a limited number of new students beginning this summer or in the fall. I enjoy working with all ranges of students, including beginning students. Feel free to get in touch if you are seriously considering private music instruction.
