Paige’s Music of Fishers, Indiana is looking for a Trumpet Specialist to join one of the most successful retail teams in the music products industry! Our Retail Sales team specializes in serving the needs of intermediate and advanced musicians. We take pride in providing a wide selection of products in each instrument category as well as specialized service for every musician.
Key responsibilities:
- Enrich the lives of Paige’s Music customers by providing unparalleled customer service both face-to-face and over the phone
- Determine complete and appropriate solutions for every customer, regardless of the potential revenue they represent
- Build productive and trusting relationships with customers
- Develop relationships with area instructors and private teachers in respective category
- Develop and maintain a high level of related product knowledge in respective category
- Plan and execute events (clinics, masterclasses, etc.) both in-store and off-site
- Work with the Director of Retail Sales to maintain and analyze sales and inventory
- Grow revenue in respective instrument categories with the focus being on intermediate and advanced instrument sales
- During peak school rental season, shifting focus to beginning/entry level customer service needs
Opportunities:
- Memberships to category-related guilds or associations
- Attend some category and industry-related conferences or clinics
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in music performance, education, or business
- Continued experience in trumpet playing, performing, gigging, etc.
- Valid driver’s license
Schedule:
- Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Four weekdays, plus Saturday
- With an assigned day-off during the week
- Some evening events with advanced notice
Compensation overview:
- Hourly rate plus:
- Commission based on sales of all accessories and instruments
- Additional bonuses based on sales goals and growth in category
