La Porte High School is looking for a percussion instructor for our fall marching band season (covering both battery and front ensemble instruction). Our season includes a 1-2 week parade camp leading up to the 4th of July, a 2 week band camp in late July/early August, and then a regular season schedule of Mondays 5:30-8:30, Wednesdays 3-4:30 (music only), Thursdays 5:30-8:30, Friday home games, and Saturday rehearsal/competitions (all times Central). LPHS competes in the ISSMA Scholastic A class. New this year, we have a $6,000 stipend available for the position! There is also the potential for additional stipend money to continue working with concert percussion in concert band classes through the school year.
