Details:
We’re seeking a Front Ensemble Percussion Staff Member to support technique
development and performance preparation for our marching band/indoor percussion
programs. You’ll work closely with the band director to build musical excellence, ensemble
cohesion, and a positive student culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach and reinforce mallet and accessory technique, rhythm literacy, and ensemble
listening
- Assist with music instruction, cleaning reps, timing, and front ensemble integration with
battery and winds
- Lead sectionals and provide individual feedback on technique, musicality, and show
demands
- Support setup, electronics (as applicable), and performance logistics
- Contribute to rehearsal planning and uphold safety, inclusivity, and program expectations
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in front ensemble performance and/or instruction
- Strong instructional skills, clear communication, and reliable classroom management
- Ability to read music and teach technique across keyboard and auxiliary instruments
- Comfortable with met/practice strategies; [Preferred] familiarity with electronics/sound
design (MainStage, samplers, miking)
- Reliable, punctual, and collaborative; available for afternoons/evenings/weekends
Compensation
- Range of stipends available depending on experience and availability
