Jay Ellsmore started playing trumpet in 1993, and has since earned trumpet performance degrees from the University of Northern Colorado and Lawrence University. He has performed with many groups, such as the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra, Lone Star Wind Orchestra, and Fortissimo Brass to name a few. Mr. Ellsmore has been teaching lessons for 13 years, most recently having a studio of around 50 students in the Dallas area, where his students have performed at events such as the state solo and ensemble contest in Austin, and in groups such as the Texas All State Band and Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra. He now continues his private lesson instruction in the Indianapolis area.
